Mother's Day 2014

Even though we celebrated Mother's Day last year while I was pregnant, I feel like this was my first real Mother's Day.  It was the first one with babies in my arms! Mark made sure I had an amazing weekend, not just day!  On Saturday he made breakfast and then told me to go shopping.  I don't ever go shopping without the babies and when I buy myself something it's usually a solid colored cotton shirt while I'm at Target. He told me to buy stuff for myself, so I did!  I got a dress, some shirts, new shorts (my pre-pregnancy shorts were TWO sizes too big), a pair of sandals that I would've never spent the money on before and some make up.  It was so much fun!  Of course everywhere I went I looked at baby stuff, but I didn't buy them anything, I only looked!  Then on Saturday night my mom and sister came over to help with the babies and he made us all steak for dinner.  I got roses and a Mother's Day card with coupons in it for a steak dinner, shopping spree and cuddle fest. I told him that I will be redeeming those coupons, even though I already got the steak dinner and shopping spree, I hadn't used the coupons yet ;)

Then on Sunday he made breakfast again and watched the babies and put them down for naps while I showered and got dressed and everything.  We went to my Aunt Dee's house where we celebrated Mother's Day with my family.

This is the flower pot that I made for my mom with pictures of the babies on it, with an orchid inside. She loved it!

After that we came back home, babies napped, ate, and then we went to Mark's parents' house to celebrate with his family.  I made my mother in law a pot with pictures of the babies.

And I guess great minds think alike because she made me one!

Of course I had to get a picture of me with the babies for my first real Mother's Day.  I told Mark that I want to take a picture posed this same way every year until they're 18. He said "ha!  Ok..."

Happy Mother's Day!
