We have 8 month old babies! Other than the usual "they are getting so big," I don't have much to say here. They are all doing completely different things. They are getting bigger and happier! They now wear 12 month clothes and the cloth diapers are on the biggest setting, so I don't know where we'll go from there! Overall, they are amazing little humans and I am able to take care of them on my own a lot more. Mark has even done it alone! I put them to sleep all by myself one night while he was helping clean up at his sister's house after his parents' anniversary paty, and he did it all alone another night so that I could go to my Mothers of Multiples meeting! They are getting easier to handle and more fun! They all sit up on their own and are adorable!
Emily
Emily is now the funny baby! She smiles and makes funny faces and laughs and is so happy! She shakes her head "no" at random times, but they always seem to be times when it's fitting that she would be saying "no." She loves when I smell her feet and say, "Peeeeyooooo stinky feet!" She giggles so loud. If I ask her where her stinky feet are she grabs them! She is a very smart girl who loves to laugh, giggle and cuddle with her daddy! She rolls over now and can push up on all fours but doesn't know what to do after that. She is the typical oldest child who needs to be the center of attention. If you are talking to one of the other babies, she will scream until you look at her and then she'll smile at you. She gets right in front of my phone when I hold it up to take a picture. She smiles at herself if she can see herself in my phone and loves to watch videos of herself. She is quite the little ham. She steals a toy from her brother or sister, but when they steal it back she throws a fit! She always checks out what toys they have before she chooses which one she wants to play with. She makes me laugh so hard everyday!
Sometimes she gets tired while she's on her tummy, so she just puts her head down for awhile.
I was making bottles one night and heard "Mama." It was Mark's voice. When I turned around I saw this. I laughed so hard!
Her hair is getting longer!
Ready for the Kentucky Derby
Resting again
She fell down in the grass so decided to just sprawl out and stay there
Emily always wakes up first. We can hear her talking to herself around 7 am but we don't go to get them until 7:30. One morning I went to get them at 7:30 and she was passed out! I brought her into the living room and she refused to wake up. She continued to sleep on the floor! It was weird...
Trying a whole piece of Apple in these mesh feeders. She knew exactly what to do with it!
Driving
Ella
Ella is STILL the tiny baby. Of course when I say tiny, I mean short. There is nothing tiny about her other than her height. She is chubby! Ella said "Dada" on May 21. It was very exciting! She says it when she gets mad now. It's convenient because I can say "Mark, she wants you." She still doesn't have any teeth. She eats all of her solids at every meal plus Emily and Tripp's leftovers. She loves solids! She is an expert roller and has a proud look on her face every time she rolls over. It's funny because she rolls constantly, so it seems like she'd be over it, but no, she still impresses herself! She can push up on all fours but doesn't move. If she needs to get anywhere, she rolls there. Her hair is getting so thick! We can't style it anymore so it just does whatever it wants. It's very cute but Emily and Tripp have learned to pull it. Not cool! They are getting a lot better about it and now that they're so mobile they are more concerned with their toys than they are with her hair! Ella has this new thing that she does where she yells at us. It may sound crazy, but when she gets mad she seriously just yells right in your face. At first I didn't know how to react but now I make the same sounds she's making right back at her.n She gets so confused that she stops and just stares at me. It's probably not the most conventional way to deal with a baby yelling, but it calms her down! She still laughs and giggles and gets excited. She also loves when I tell her how stinky her feet are and grabs them if I ask where they are. She is getting very defensive with her toys, but she has to! For some reason her toys are always the ones to be stolen so she has learned to pull them away from the others and even steal them back! She's pretty feisty for being so small!
Cuddling with a giant duck at our neighbor's house
This was one of the days when she was yelling at me. She wouldn't stop and I had to feed the other babies so I had to let her yell in an exersaucer. I sang to her, talked to her, did everything I could, but she wouldn't calm down. When I was done feeding the others and they were napping I held her and she fell asleep in my arms. Then I fell asleep. Screaming babies take a lot out of you. When Mark got home he took this picture.
USA!
She was posing like crazy for my cousin Taylor!
Minnie!
Trying to get a piece of Apple but she couldn't get it with just her gums. Poor baby. Hopefully she gets some teeth soon!
She's not very impressed with the car
Tripp is the easy baby! He's very laid back and kind of does his own thing. He is perfectly fine playing alone in the play pen with Little Einsteins (his favorite show) on in the background. He loves music! When music comes on he stops to see where it's coming from and he drinks his bottles better if there is music playing in the background (as much as his daddy tries to deny it, the Frozen soundtrack is his favorite). He said "Mama" on April 27! He is very much a little boy, full of energy and never keeps still! We try to cuddle with him but he is not interested. He just needs to move, and wiggle, and roll over, and touch every single toy in the play pen. He can crawl! Not normal crawling, but he army crawls all over the place. He is so close to crawling on his hands and knees. He gets up and rocks back and forth and can kind of move his hands but usually falls and just army crawls. He gets wherever he needs to go! He is a very curious little boy. When he sees something, he needs to examine it and looks at it with his eyebrows pulled together. It's very funny! He loves his walker! We put him in it and he can actually move around the house. He goes wherever he wants to go, which is usually to curtains so that he can pull on them!
Looking for women to flirt with at Target. He is a mess!
I was trying to cuddle with him. He kept rolling around and then started to chew on my shirt.
Mark tried to spike his hair. Unfortunately his hair is very long and very thin so he looked like this all day!
He loves bubbles!
At first he could only move backwards in his walker, but he still needed to see where he was going, so this was how he moved around the house!
This kid doesn't ever keep still, especially on the changing table! One night Mark asked him to keep still on the changing table but he wouldn't (he's 8 months old) so Mark put him in time out for about 30 seconds. He didn't even care. He sat there and scratched the foam mats and examined the gate. It started as a joke for us but he actually enjoyed staring at that gate!
Mickey!
This was the last time we ever put him in a bouncer. We were trying to get him to sleep but he had other plans. He tried to escape!
Eating an apple
I put him outside on this blanket and he didn't move! It was so weird! He just laid there staring at the sky. We left him alone since he was being so still and quiet!
He actually cuddled with me! I was so shocked I took a picture to send to Mark. He was very tired and just laid there on me. It was so sweet!
Bluebonnet pictures
Once they really started moving around we out this play pen together it wasn't quite big enough!
We bought one more play pen and combined them. Now they have their own giant play area and they can move around as much as they want!
My mom and I took the girls to Babies R Us to get baby shower gifts and new pajamas. They liked chewing on the hangers
Mark likes to set the babies up like this in the front yard and watch the reaction on people's faces as they drive by.
Hanging out in the grass

We want to Sam's with my grandma and Emily loved being able to sit next to Ella. She put her arm around her and stayed that way the whole time.
This is our set up when we got to Kroger. Apparently HEB has shopping carts that fit 2 babies up front like the Sam's shopping cart, so we will start shopping at HEB!
An easier way to go out and not get too much attention is to bring two teenagers (my cousin and my sister). This way, people don't stare because there are 3 babies and want to talk to you about the babies. They just stare at the 2 teenagers who have babies and they keep walking :)
This is Tripp stealing Emily's toy with his feet. He has these long toes that look like fingers and he tries to grab things with them. It's kind of creepy.
I went to the store one evening and left the babies with Mark. When I got home he tried to convince me that I had taken Emily with me and he didn't know where she was. He hid her under Tripp's car
I ordered this little water mat online and I was SO excited to try it out! After we fed the babies dinner we put them in their swimsuits and hats and went out to try it. Here is Ella right before we went outside!
And then we sat them down in the freezing cold water and they screamed. We will have to wait until a day when it is really hot outside!
Ella
Emily hung out in a chair and just stared at them. She threw the biggest fit when she was on the mat!

Hi! I have nine month triplet girls and love reading your blog. Just curious about your triplet stroller. Who is the manufacturer and do you like it?
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Mary
Congrats on your triplets! I am not sure who the manufacturer is. It was purchased on ebay and given to us as a gift. There isn't a brand on it or anything! I like it a lot but it's very heavy and only fits in our van if we have the 3rd row folded flat. Overall I enjoy it and so do the kids. We recently got a Radio Flyer triple wagon and they love that even more! I will post pictures of it in their 9 month post. They each have a seat with a seatbelt and cupholders, and the wagon has a canopy! It's very cool :)
