This past weekend, on September 20, we celebrated Emily, Ella and Tripp's first birthday with a bang. We invited pretty much all of our family that lives locally and had way too many hot dogs and decorations! The night before the party, my mom and Kirt helped us decorate. Each baby had their own banner of their monthly pictures. We had Mickey and Minnie ears for everyone to wear, and Mark made Mickey Park and Toodles!
The next morning our parents came over to help with babies and finish getting ready for the party.
Tripp loves the Mickey sofa that my mom got them. It fit perfectly under the Mickey Park sign!
Emily was not too sure about the 4 foot tall Minnie Mouse
The table with their balloons and smash cakes
The adorable smash cakes that my Aunt Dee made for them
My cousin Taylor made Mickey cupcakes, complete with handmade cupcake liners! They were a big hit!

After naps we got them dressed and ready for people to start arriving. All 3 babies were on antibiotics for ear infections, but Tripp and Emily were fine. Ella, on the other hand, was not. She was very fussy and needed to be held the whole party! She's a lot better now. Hopefully next year she will be well and enjoy their party more!
Emily loved her charm bracelet and walked around showing everyone how pretty it was. It even distracted her for a few minutes so that she forgot about her Minnie ears!
Tripp all ready for the party!
This is the only picture we have of Ella smiling at the party. This is after everyone has left. Her shirt is all dirty and she isn't wearing pants, but she's smiling, so I'll take it!

The babies with Mimi, Pappy and Aunt Laina (my mom, step dad and sister)
Tripp absolutely loved this car. He was perfectly content sitting in it and letting big kids push him around the house! The girls also love it, so we got them a pink one.
This was by far the best day of Emily's life! She was surrounded by people that were saying how cute she was and got so much attention. On top of that, she got to eat cake, so she was on a complete sugar high. I don't know if I've ever seen her as happy as she was for those 3 hours!

Then it was cake time! Emily wanted her ears off and Ella wanted to be held.
Emily loved the cake, Tripp just wanted to play with it and Ella wanted 2 pieces of icing put in her mouth, then she cried. Poor baby was not feeling well!
After cake, Tripp was pushed around in his car some more
Then we did presents. We are so thankful that we have so many amazing family and friends that love these babies so much! They got so many great gifts and they love all of them!
Ella sat safely on Nonna's lap the whole time
Emily loves baby dolls. I've never seen a 1 year old so happy to receive a baby as Emily was. She smiled so big and then kissed the baby's head. She is quite the character! The sugar helped her to be extra silly!!!
Thank you to everyone who came out to help us celebrate these sweet babies. We really appreciate it!
