Home alone!

I just have share this because I'm very excited about it!

My grandma has been sick since Sunday (totally not what I'm excited about.  I hope she gets better soon), so Monday Mark worked from home and his mom came over to help before we met my mom at the developmental pediatrician in the afternoon.  Thanks to both of our moms for helping on such short notice!  But then on Tuesday I decided I was going to do it by myself!  I was going to stay home with the babies all by myself and see how it went.  I've been wanting to try to stay home alone with them for awhile but was always scared.  This might not seem like a huge deal to stay at home alone with my own children, but in almost 4 months I've never been alone with them for more than an hour or so and I've only had to do one feeding all by myself.  So I was nervous!  When I woke up that morning I thought, "maybe I've made a mistake and I will need help."  I fully expected to call my mom crying by noon on Tuesday, but we did great!  I thought I would be in panic mode and overwhelmed the whole time, but I wasn't!  The babies were like little angels (which I totally attribute to their new nap routine I have them on).  They each sat there and waited patiently for their turn while I fed them and they hardly cried at all.  We had fun!  Of course I needed photographic proof, so here it is!

Day 1- They woke up, ate, then I sat them in their Bumbos and read them a book

Then I dressed them all and they played on the activity gym.  (They each have their own, but the girls prefer Tripp's because it has lights, so they all play on that one)

Tummy time

Ella was doing great at the beginning but by the time I grabbed my phone to take pictures she was over it!

The girls woke up first so they got to read a book with different textures.

Then Mark got home and we all played in the living room until it was bedtime.

Day 2- tummy time with mirrors!

We went for a walk around the block.  I didn't realize it was so cold outside so it was a very quick walk.

Then we came home, I put them all on a blanket on the floor, turned Taylor Swift on and danced around them like a crazy person.  They love that.  They smile and laugh and move their own little bodies.  It's so cute!  We danced until we were all tired and now they are napping!

That's it!  I just had to document this because I'm VERY proud of myself!  It's not something I can imagine doing every single day, but at least now I know it's something that I can do, and that makes me feel great :)
