2016 so far

I have really been slacking off on this whole blogging thing!  Here's what we've done so far in 2016!

January

Ella got triplets

Emily got a duck baby

I took all 3 kids to the dentist.  Emily and Ella went at the same time and they each screamed throughout the entire exam.  Tripp went on a different day and did so well!  He sat there while the dentist looked at every single one of his teeth!

February

We got all dressed up and went to a wedding!

Mark telling Ella about the ring that I gave him at our wedding

Emily and Mark dancing was one of my favorite things ever!

March

Ainsley gave Ella this awesome triplet stroller

...And Emily decided that since she's a triplet, she should sit in it!

I tried to teach them to play hide and seek.  They just did this the whole time!

This little face!

We went to Ainsley's ballet birthday party.  Ella wanted to dance with the big girls. Emily wasn't interested at all.

We had an Easter egg hunt with the Westwoods and Walravens

We took the kids to the rodeo carnival for the first time

Mark and I took the kids to Galveston to play on the beach.  It was very cold!

April

Mark completed his first triathlon in San Marcos.  We made a whole weekend of it and stayed with Berna and Mark, Sr in their camper next to the river.  The kids got to play in the river and we went to see the Austin Bat Bridge!

The kids did lots of Easter egg hunting between my family and Mark's

May

We have a little garden in the backyard and the kids eat green beans right out of the garden!

First experience with the ice cream truck

I celebrated my THIRD Mother's Day with these little guys!

A new cat entered our lives.  We named her Crystal, but later found out her name was Daphne.  The kids still call her Crystal when they see her outside

We went to Fort Walton Beach in Florida with my parents, Alaina and Taylor

The girls woke up and went straight out to the balcony to tell us they needed to go to the beach

The kids got their faces painted at the boardwalk in Destin

Alaina and I ziplined...

...and Emily missed me and cried the whole time!

The kids love the "swimming bowl"

On the way home we got stuck on a bridge and had to spend the night in a hotel in Mississippi.  It was the kids' first time to stay in a hotel.

June

Tripp will eat ANYTHING.  He grabbed a raw onion from Mark's salad and ate it.

They played in the rain a lot

Eating cucumbers from our backyard and Nonna's backyard

The girls and Mark in front of the place Mark and I got married

More playing in the rain!

We went to a "Touch-A-Truck" event at HEB

I took Tripp to the Children's Museum in Houston to meet the Ninja Turtles

While we were there, Mark took the girls to Academy, where the City of Webster was there going over safety stuff.  The girls got free stuff and had their picture taken!

July

Emily sweeping and talking on the phone

Emily found a pink glove and wore it for days!

We finally moved their seats so that they're not right next to each.  There was too much talking, hitting and fighting.  That's all better now!

Tripp found a Santa hat and wore it all morning

They dressed themselves to go to the doctor

Emily slid into the TV table and got a black eye

Watching airplanes with Pawpaw

Dressed up for Cow Appreciation Day at Chick Fil A

The pink glove again

Ella grocery shopping

Her shopping list

Bella doesn't usually like the kids, but she made an exception when there was thunder and she got scared

We took the kids to the Blanco River with Mark's family for the first time.  This has been a tradition with his family for years but this was the first time the kids were able to go.  They loved it!

Ella and Tripp hold hands while walking a lot

Tripp loved the hammock

We celebrated the 4th of July and the kids loved it!  They love the Star Spangled Banner and can sing the whole thing.  They love America!

We went to the local parade

Then we came home, napped, and had a little party in the front yard.  Just the 5 of us!  We backed a birthday cake for America and watched fireworks that the neighbors set off.

Tripp absolutely loves fireworks.  The girls went inside, but he and I sat in the grass and watched until it was bedtime

I won't do August in this post.  I plan on setting aside time each week to update the blog.  The kids are starting to say hilarious things that I feel I need to document.  I plan to do that weekly right here.  I don't know if it'll happen, but I'm going to try!
