Emily funnies

Emily has been cracking me up lately with things she says. Here are a few:

She was looking out the window and said, "oh no!  The leaves falling off the tree!  The leaves are so sad!"  We went outside and Mark raked the leaves up. Emily held one up in the air and said, "I put it back on the tree!  The leaf is so excited!"

Mark put a stuffed JJ Watt doll under Edward's collar and said JJ is riding Edward. She ran over, took JJ out and said, "you ok JJ?  Mom!  JJ is so sad!"

I let the kids help me make a pizza for dinner. I put the sauce on, then let them sprinkle cheese on. Ella and Tripp put the cheese on the pizza, Emily ate handfuls of cheese. Ella and Tripp put pepperoni on the pizza. Emily removed the pepperoni from the pizza, took bites, then put them back on the pizza. While she did this, she said, "I help mama make pizza. Pepperoni is so delicious!"  So on her side of the pizza (the top in this picture), the pepperoni have bites taken out of them!

There is never a dull moment!

2nd birthday party

We celebrated the kids' 2 birthday with a small party with family and friends.  The theme was pink, purple and blue.  It was simple and fun!

We let them play with all of their new toys outside first  (Emily was not interested in pictures).

They got a trampoline from Mimi and Pappy

Mark and I got them tricycles, which they proudly call their "mokercycles." (motorcycles)

Nonna and Pawpaw got them this awesome climber

They got a tee ball set from Aunt Laina

Emily and Daddy holding hands

She thought it was fun that our hair was blowing

Hugging Gwen

Then we went inside for cake and presents!

They got a rug from Aunt Rachel, Uncle Charles, Colton and Ainsley.  They loved it!

After the party, Emily finally agreed to take a picture

A triplet mom sent me these cute shirts for the kids.  They say "We Are Two."  I had to give them cupcakes to get them to sit still

We had a great time and the kids loved it!  Thanks to everyone who was able to come to help us celebrate Emily, Ella and Tripp's 2nd birthday!

2 years old

The kids are TWO! 24 months... 104 weeks... 730 days... that's all the math I'm doing for this post :) They turned 2 last Wednesday, which was weird because I just gave birth to them a couple of weeks ago.  Here's an update!

Here they are on their birthday!

I took them to get donuts for breakfast.  I was nervous, but they did really well!

Emily

Emily weighs 32 pounds 6 ounces and is 36 inches tall (that's the 96% for weight and height!).  She's the brave leader.  She walked right into her 2 year check up and let the doctor (Dr. Amy is one of her favorite people ever.  She talks about her regularly and 'calls' her all the time) put her up on the table for her exam.  She is so brave!  She barely cried after her 2 shots, she just got up and started reading a book!  Emily loves TV, jumping on her new trampoline and being the boss.  She is definitely in charge!  Sometimes her siblings don't realize that she's in charge, so she has to use force to remind them (don't worry, she goes to time out and has to apologize.  We're working on it!).  Emily worries a lot about her siblings.  If she wakes up first and I go to get her, she asks me what "Bubba sissy doing" until they wake up.  She needs to know where they are and what they're doing all the time!  She's also been very shy lately, but I think that's just her age!  She knows quite a few letters in the alphabet and words that start with them.  When you show her a letter, she will always call it A, but then tell you a word beginning with that letter.  (If you show her O, she will say, "A- Octopus, Owl.").  Emily has hilarious little phrases that she says randomly that make me laugh so hard, such as, "Bye alligator!"  (we say "see you later alligator"), "Oh jeez it's dark in here!", "This room is a mess!"  She made up a really horrible joke.  She says, "What does a tree say?"  You say, "What?" Then she says, "Nothing!" She laughs so hard and so do her siblings.  They are the only ones who get it.  She also memorized a joke from an Elmo book that we read.  If you ask her to tell a joke she will say, "Knock knock, who's there?  Boo hoo.  You crying?"  She doesn't need you to participate in the joke at all, she does it all on her own!  She is adorable and so funny!

At the zoo, one of her favorite places!

She loves ketchup

She has recently started to love selfies

Emily always thinks that Mark is fishing.  She'll say, "Where's Daddy?  He's fishing round and round, all the times!"  (she made that up on her own).  A few weeks ago she hung a bag of tortillas out the side of the shopping cart and said, "look mama, I'm fishing."  She's done it a few more times with other random things and I thought maybe Mark showed her what he does when he goes fishing.  Nope!  I sat down to watch an episode of Wonder Pets with them and the Wonder Pets go fishing just like this!  She just remembers everything!

At Uncle Charles' football game!

Emily at "Dr. Amy's house."  She had a diaper rash so I took her in and she looked back and forth from these fish to the ladies in the front office, waiting to see Dr. Amy.  She loves that lady!

I let them make their own pizzas one night!

We don't let the kids use our phones or ipad, so when she saw that Colton was playing a game on an ipad at a football game, she couldn't look away!

Emily is a huge Houston Texans fan.  She loves her JJ Watt jersey!

I shared my chips and dip with her when she woke up early.  He pretty much shoveled french onion dip into her mouth and couldn't stop smiling.  She also just HAD to wear Tripp's hat.

Feeding a tiger a bottle

She checked her own ears out at the doctor's office.  She diagnosed herself with "no monkeys!"  (her doctor always asks if she has monkeys in her ears, then looks in her ears and says, "No monkeys!")

Petting a goat at the zoo

I took Emily to the doctor, and when we got home she couldn't stop hugging Tripp.  She missed him so much!

Holding Simba in the air, just like Rafiki

Watching football players run by with Ainsley

Emily likes to watch TV with Pawpaw when he comes over

Ella

Ella weighs 26 pounds 6 ounces (47%) and is 33 inches tall (36%).  She is by far the smallest!  Ella is the tiny mommy.  She almost always has a baby doll on her hip and feeds her babies their bottles all day long!  Which doll is her "baby" depends on the minute.  She can wake up and declare that one baby is her baby, then she sees Emily with a baby and decides that THAT is HER baby!  She has Disney princess dolls, so it's always Baby Ariel, Baby Ella (Cinderella), Baby Belle, Baby Elsa or Baby Rapunzel.  She's very creative with their names... they're all named Baby!  Ella prefers to play alone and can sometimes be a bully.  Because of that, Emily and Tripp kind of band together and don't always let her into their games when she's ready to join.  We are working on that.  Ella knows the alphabet song and actually recognizes about 13 letters.  She picks up the letter, names it, then tells you a word that starts with that letter.  (M- mama, D-Daddy, E-Ella and Emmy, T-Tripp, I- ice cream, O- octopus)  It's very impressive!  She's still a little hoarder who always has leaves and sticks in her hands during our walks or anytime we go outside.  Ella knows all of our names (Ella Ruth Beyer, Emmy Michelle Beyer, Tripp is either Tripp Beyer or Mark Beyer, Daddy is Mark Beyer, and Monique Beyer).  She likes to do anything that anyone else is doing. If I say, "Tripp, are you cooking?"  She will run over and say, "I'm cooking, too!"  She loves to sing and has so much emotion on her face when she does.  She really gets into it!  She has a few signature dance moves that she does constantly that are hilarious!  She's so cute and funny and she knows it!

Sassy little thing!

Stole Bubba's hat!

Ella LOVES her Pappy!

She got a jacket and hat for her birthday and she loves them!

Running around with Daddy

Making pizza!

On their actual birthday, we got them each a small gift.  Ella's gift was more Disney princesses for the castle and Tripp's was a little tractor with animals.  Ella took ownership of the tractor and called it her "princess choo choo train."

Watching the game with Aunt Rachel

Ella is scared of the vacuum, but she's fine with it as long as she can hold my hand as I vacuum!

Carrying around a picture of her Daddy when he was younger

Ella loves to say "Go Texans!"

Feeding a giraffe!

Princess nightgown, Ariel toy and bracelet.  She couldn't be happier!

Playing with the princesses, waiting for Daddy to get home

Ella loves toddler time at the library.  She gets so into the dancing, that she refuses to sit down when the children are asked to sit.  She stands and waits for the next dance!

Jumping at her friends' pajama birthday party!

Princess crown

This was when she saw an actual elephant for the first time.  Ella loves elephants!

Copying Nonna

Ella is the only one who will actually ride a carousel.  She chose an elephant, of course

"D, Daddy"

Ella loves popcorn, which she calls "paa-cone"

Tripp

Tripp weighs 30 pounds 4 ounces (77%) and is 35.25 inches tall (80%).  Tripp is sweet and has really good manners.  He almost always says "Please" and "Thank you" after you hand him something.  Anytime you tell him, "I love you," he says, "Love you more."  It's so sweet.  He also adds the word 'more' to everyday things.  He says, "thank you more", "sorry more" and "please more."  It's very cute!  Lately, he's been a total goofball!  He loves to make us laugh!  Tripp loves Emily and does anything that she does.  She often announces, "Tippy!  Hold hands!"  He stops what he's doing, grabs her hand, and they walk around the house holding hands.  He does not like to hold Ella's hand.  It's kind of sad!  Occasionally she'll catch him in a good mood and he will hug her or hold her hand.  Tripp has always loved music and that hasn't changed!  He still loves Elsa because of "Let it Go" and he now loves a few other princesses because of songs that they sing.  He's almost to the age where he will be able to determine "boy things" and "girl things," and I'm just kind of going with the flow.  He also loves Captain America, Superman, Simba, Daniel Tiger and Little Einsteins so he has that to kind of even it out!  His recent favorite is the song from Sleeping Beauty, "Once Upon a Dream."  When it comes on Emily makes him dance with her and he does it!  He's a sweet brother!  I even have a video of him dancing to that song with Ella!  Tripp's speech is blossoming and he has so many words and phrases that he uses constantly.  He has started calling me "mom," which is weird.  Anytime he needs something he will say very sternly, "Mom!  Mom!"  I try to make him say Mama or Mommy, but he likes Mom!  He says, "mom!  Do it!"  Then starts making funny faces and I have to make the funny faces back. He gets so tickled when we play that game! He is cute and goofy and he knows it!

If you don't know where Tripp is, you can usually find him standing on the recycle box that goes to the kitchen cooking or making and drinking coffee!

The orangutan at the zoo had his face pushed up against the glass one day and Tripp thought it was the greatest thing ever!  They just stared at each other through the glass!

Presenting Simba

Twinsies!

Captain America!

He loves his cape!

He built this and then told me it was an airplane.  He has a great imagination!

Making his pizza.  He got so upset when we were done making the pizza

That smile and chin dimple!  I love it!!!

Tripp was the first to figure out how to eat a sandwich without opening it up

He decided to lie down and relax on the train at the zoo

He discovered pockets and loves them!

Simba again!

Little Bobcat

Nonna got him an astronaut costume!

Bringing the present into his friends' birthday party!

Texans and his hands in his pockets

Mama's sunglasses

Mark tricked me into getting Tripp a buzzcut.  It was way too short and he looked like a Marine.  I did not like it!  He didn't care, as long as he got his lollipop

Giraffe selfie

Tripp likes to "go night night."  He lays very still and squeezes his eyes closed!

Group pictures

Mark built a bench for the kids to stand on to brush their teeth.  They were brushing their teeth sitting on the floor in the living room and we decided it was time to move them to the sink.  They love it!

We turned their seats around when they were 22 months old.  I wanted to wait until 24 months old, but they were fighting and drives were becoming unbearable screaming matches.

Waiting patiently at the pharmacy with Aunt Laina.  This lasted about 2 minutes!

Mark is the cool parent who does stuff like bring their mattresses into the playroom to play on them

Trying so hard to grab the moon!

Eating popcorn at the mall

This was before dinner on their 2nd birthday

This is how pictures go these days.  Ella just refuses!

At the zoo with Mimi and Pappy

They had to walk at the grocery store and it was not good!

Daddy cuddles!

Mama cuddles!

They like to sit by the door after I lock it before we pile into the van.  I try to get pictures because it's so cute, but it's very rare that they all participate!

We went to one of my brother in law, Charles', football games and the kids ran through the tunnel with Colton and Ainsley (and Mark).  They loved it!

On our walks they like to see cats.  There's one house that has a few cats that roam the front yard.  Tripp usually stays on the sidewalk and says "here kitty kitty," but Emily just walks up to see them.

Ariel (Ella), Mickey Mouse (Emily) and a super hero (Tripp) greeted Daddy when he got home from work, but didn't want to go back inside!

We are huge Ed Sheeran fans!  They like the "Thinking Out Loud" video

Running at the park

These 2 hug a lot!

Climbing a random pallet on our walk

Cuddles while watching TV.  This hardly ever happens!

Patiently waiting for toddler time at the library

The girls both had ear infections I took them to the doctor.  They examined each other while we waited for the doctor

Watching a movie together (Ella doesn't sit through movies, but these 2 love to sit under blankets and watch them)

Ella joined in on the hand holding walk around the house and loved it!

They all wanted to hold my hand, but just this hand, not the other one!

Watching the Texans

Riding the zoo train with Mimi and Pappy

We took Edward on a walk and they all had to hold the leash.  It was not easy!

At the zoo with Pappy!

Go Texans!

Hanging out at the park

Arian Foster and JJ Watt grocery shopping

They love hugging cousin Gwen!

Daddy let them ride on this thing at Lowes

I tell the kids that they can't play at the table or on the chairs, it's for eating only!  So Emily and Tripp found a way around that.  They brought their own chicken legs from their kitchen and when I told them to get down they said, "We eat, mama!"  They won that one!

Tripp tickling Emily

Ella and Tripp holding hands waving to daddy and Emily

Tripp and Emily

They insisted on bringing their own stuffed animals to toddler time
