Emily
Emily is such a good baby as long as she gets good naps. If she doesn't, it's a disaster, but she's starting to nap better and she's so happy! Most days she wins "Best Baby of the Day," which is a fake award that I created so that I can tell Mark who was the best when he gets home from work. She tries to roll over but lately she lays on her back and kicks her feet on the ground and moves all around the living room on her back. Now that she can move around, she hasn't really been interested in rolling. It's really funny because she actually scoots to a place she wants to go. If someone is standing next to her but then walks into the kitchen, she will watch them walk into the kitchen and then start scooting that way. She can scoot herself from her activity gym onto Tripp's so that she can look at the lights on his. Once, she scooted onto his mat, turned herself 90 degrees, then started scooting up to push him off of his mat so that she was under the lights. It was like she planned out how she was going to do it. It was so funny! Emily has stopped sleeping through the night. We don't know why. She wakes up sometime between 2 and 4 every morning. We usually feed her and then put her in a bouncer until she goes back to sleep. Last night she woke up a few times and I could hear her on the monitor but she put herself back to sleep. It was amazing! We are pretty sure she's starting to teethe. She doesn't have any teeth yet but she drools constantly and she puts both of her fists in her mouth and just chews on her hands all day long. Her hand eye coordination is really good. She can move things from one hand to the other and anything in her hands goes directly into her mouth, including toys attached to her exersaucer! She pulls them as far as they will go toward her and then moves her head the rest of the way to get the toys in her mouth. She LOVES Mickey Mouse. Whenever Mickey Mouse Clubhouse comes on she starts to smile and laugh and move her whole body she's so excited! She is a very funny baby these days and loves to laugh! She is ticklish and laughs so hard when you take her shirt off of her arms. It's adorable!
This was when she pushed Tripp off of his mat.
So excited about her barefoot sandals and giant bow!
Emily hated rice cereal so we had to give her oatmeal. She liked it so we started adding vegetables to it.
And squash!
She wasn't in the mood to eat...
Everything goes into her mouth
Sometimes she looks like she's waiting for you to do something.
Ella
Ella is the tiny baby. When you hold one of the others and then her, the weight difference is very obvious. She's small and dainty! She has this thick patch of hair that's right on top of her head and it's so cute! I tried to put a clip in it but it isn't that thick yet. She is still so smiley and loves when we talk to her. She is still super moody, too. She gets in these moods where all you can do to calm her is walk around with her. It's very inconvenient when I'm alone with them so I put her in a bouncer and bounce her and she usually calms down pretty quickly. She is starting to like her baths more so that's a relief! She has no interest in rolling over but she lays on her back and tries to lift her upper body. It's like she's doing crunches. She gets pretty high when she does it so I'm waiting for her abs to start showing. She is a funny little girl who likes to be held and sang to. She is the best sleeper. It takes a while to get her to sleep but once she is, we have to wake her up when the others wake up because she can just sleep and sleep (just like me!). Ella loves Mickey Mouse and Sofia the First. She recently started laughing really loud. She's always smiled but we hardly ever heard her laugh. It's a very cute laugh!
I LOVE this picture
She decided she didn't want to nap with the other babies, so she got to watch Ellen with me. She was very excited!
Ella is the neatest eater. She barely lets any of the food out of her mouth and seems to be a pro at using a spoon. She just sits there and waits for the spoon to get to her mouth. She is a little impatient if you take too long getting the spoon to her.
Tripp
Trippster is still a very big boy! He's sweet and likes to cuddle and loves when I sing to him. He is the only person I know who actually smiles when I start singing. Most people cringe! He is a little flirt and just flashes his big blue eyes at me with a huge smile and I feel I have to pick him up. I can't prove anything, but I'm pretty sure he hypnotizes me. He has a tooth right under his gums that we can see so of course he cries a lot because of that tooth. I finally gave him Orajel the other day and he went from screaming to smiling and flirting with me in about 3 minutes. It was amazing how quickly it worked. He is a great sleeper! He can roll from his back to his belly but he's very inconsistent. One day he'll roll over 10 times and then he won't do anything for 3 days or so. He'll get the hang of it soon enough. He loves Mickey Mouse and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. He is so ticklish it's hilarious! He loves eating solid foods and he's just happy!
I ordered Ellen hats for the babies because we love Ellen. They are so cute!
For awhile Tripp wasn't a very good eater, but if Emily was sitting next to him, she'd hold his hand or touch him and it looked like she was comforting or encouraging him. It was adorable!
Tripp started crying because he couldn't get the flowers off of Emily's shirt. Seriously...
We finally used this triplet stroller. I loved it and the babies liked facing forward and not being in their car seats for a walk.
